Type the question the way you would say it.
Plan
Four read-only tools, fenced by the database itself.
Answer & audit
Every figure checked against the evidence behind it.
What it actually does.
Every answer carries its steps, the SQL it ran and the records it read. Anything it names that no tool returned is marked, not linked.
Model-written SQL runs as a login that can read the reporting views and nothing else: read-only, one statement at a time, under a timeout.
Each answer is read back against its evidence and every unsupported claim is recorded, so drift shows up as a number on a chart.
An item stays open until the correspondence shows it done. Quiet time counts in working days, from the last note a person wrote.
Unloaded data reads as unknown, never zero. Ask about a system it does not hold and it says so, with a list of what it does.
A new business means new mirrors and new meanings for words like “billable”. The engine, the fences and the auditor stay the same.

ASKIQ started as somebody describing a process that had stopped working. If that sounds familiar, that is all we need to start.
